THE LESSON (My Interpretation) The Lesson is a very poignant story. I believe that the tight important idea that the author is trying to convey was the casualty that money was not an issue for Sylvia. Sylvia portrays the message that she has a lot of pride when she is left with Miss Moores four dollars at the revoke of the story. She thinks that she is on top of the world.
